The revelation, made during a discussion about future DCU productions, offers a clearer picture of when audiences can expect the series to arrive on HBO Max. Safran stated, "We've talked about the Gorilla Grodd show for HBO that we'll start shooting this year.
" After the interviewer reacted with surprise, he quickly acknowledged the significance of the revelation, adding, "That's big news, by the way. I probably shouldn't have said that.
" This comment marks the first concrete production update for the project. If filming proceeds on schedule, the series could potentially debut on HBO Max in 2027 or early 2028.
