DC's current film slate is currently up in the air and unknown to pretty much anyone, but the Zatanna movie is no longer going forward at HBO Max.
writer/director Emerald Fennell — projects were scrapped at HBO Max. The report mentions that both projects are now being shopped to other streamers, although it’s currently unknown whether or not they will land anywhere.
As for Abrams, THR notes that he’s still in talks with DC about other projects, but nothing is concrete as of yet. The move is another in a long line of shifts and slashing of projects happening behind the scenes at Warner Bros. Discovery. As the company looks to move back into the world of big, theatrical films, it’s unknown just what the future holds for DC as a whole on its streaming services.
