The Census Bureau released population estimates for 2025, revealing the District of Columbia gained 2,335 residents between July 2024 and July 2025. This increase is attributed to natural growth and international migration. The revised 2024 estimate was lowered to 691,310. The 2025 estimated population is 693,645. DC Public Schools will have a 2-hour delay Thursday and Friday, while the Office of Personnel Management has announced a status of Open With Option for Unscheduled Leave or Unscheduled Telework on Thursday.
