Harley Quinn just killed Robin (again)
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Summary DC has repeated Zack Snyder's controversial murder of Robin in Harley Quinn season 4 . Featuring a new status quo change where Harley Quinn has joined the Bat-Family while her girlfriend Poison Ivy is now leading the Legion of Doom, Harley and Ivy have been doing their best to manage a very complicated work-relationship balance in the animated comedy series.
As seen in Harley Quinn season 4, the mysterious murder of Nightwing led to an ongoing rift in Harley and Ivy's relationship, seeing as how it was up to Harley to figure out who did it with evidence pointing toward villains overseen by Ivy in the Legion. However, the actual truth was revealed in the new episode entitled "Potato-Based Cloning Incident".
This mirrors the death of Dick Grayson's Robin in the DCEU first referenced in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. With Robin having been killed by the Joker, 2016's Suicide Squad revealed that Harley Quinn was also involved as Joker's accomplice back when she was still his girlfriend.
Now that she's off the hook, it remains to be seen if there will be any consequences for Harley going forward in the upcoming finale of Harley Quinn season 4. However, the experience did make Quinn realize that she might not be cut out for the hero gig. It seems a repressed Harley Quinn trying to be something she's not is more dangerous than Harley Quinn just being herself in her wild DC show.
