In terms of hardware, DC Handal has once again opted for the Kempower Satellite Charging System. The setup at the Taiping Selatan Toll Plaza consisted of a liquid-cooled charging satellite while there are also three other standard charging satellites., all four charging satellites are capable of delivering up to 400kW for EVs with 800V architecture. For EVs that have 400V architecture, the DC charging speed maxes out at 220kW.
However, the Taiping Selatan Toll Plaza setup has a dynamic power sharing capability. With a 400kW setup, the site can deliver up to 100kW per charging satellite if all four charging bays are fully occupied which is still quite decent.The new charger at WCE Taiping Selatan Toll Plaza as listed on the ChargeEV and JomCharge app.
