Traders are allowed to sell mandarin oranges, prayer paraphernalia, dried meat and other permitted items.
Kuala Lumpur City Hall has approved 33 temporary permits for traders in conjunction with the festival.
Locations include Jalan Besar Kepong, Jalan Mergastua, Jalan Kepong Baru, Kuchai Entrepreneurs Park and Taman Overseas Union. "The trading licences will be effective from Jan 9 to Feb 5. Operation hours are between 10am and midnight for sites managed by associations," DBKL said in a statement.
