X Games star posted an amazing finish for a driver who by his own admission, 'is not a great rear-wheel driver.'
A spin by Daniel Suarez on the frontstretch with two laps remaining in the Daytona 500 sent the race into the first of two overtimes and eventually led to Trackhouse Racing’s two drivers producing top-10 finishes.
Suarez finished seventh despite being involved in two accidents, while Ross Chastain won Stage 2 and placed ninth even though he was caught up in the multi-car crash that sent the race into its second overtime. “With 13 laps to go, I was thinking they were going to wreck again, but they didn’t and I was working to get caught up,” Chastain said. “Then coming to the white flag, they wrecked. I was a little off on my guessing on when they were going to wreck and when they weren’t.”
