Keep that umbrella and jacket handy; you’ll need them after this evening. San Diego County has days of rain, mountain snow and gusty conditions in store for its forecast. Here’s what to know about the weather:
While Tuesday afternoon will be dry, inclement weather will be on the way for the evening.
"Later this evening, we’ll see the rain and wind and then that continues for the rest of the week into the weekend,"The county is in for a rainy week, with wet weather forecasted to last through the weekend with minimal breaks in between days. In total, once the storms pass after Sunday, much of San Diego County is forecast to have received an average of 4 inches of rainfall.
“Into the weekend, this storm is still going to be impacting us,” Parveen said. “So, rain and snow looking like Saturday and Sunday." As for mountain communities, a winter storm watch will be in effect Tuesday through 3 p.m. Saturday. Snow is forecasted to drop on levels as low as 2,500 feet in elevation, with totals slated for 2 to 8 inches once the storm passes.
In addition to inclement weather, the forecast for this week includes gusty conditions for a triple whammy event. Tuesday will be breezy with a high wind warning for the coast, a wind advisory for inland communities and a high wind warning for deserts.This article tagged under:
