This is the second time in five years that David's Bridal has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
David’s Bridal said its stores will remain open, and it intends to continue operating in the ordinary course, including by fulfilling all customer orders without disruption or delay. Additionally, its online platforms remain available to brides for their wedding planning needs. The company intends to continue honoring gift cards, returns, and exchanges at this time.
“Over the last several years, we have taken meaningful strides in our transformation to fulfill the needs of the brides of today and tomorrow,” James Marcum, CEO of David’s Bridal, said in a news release. “We have successfully modernized our marketing and customer interaction processes and driven our retail service levels to best in class.
Montgomery County-based David’s Bridal has a number of stores in the state including one in Lower Paxton Township. Although the company doesn’t know for certain what the ultimate outcome will be, it said it notified the state of the possible layoffs in order to fulfill legal requirements.
