David Fincher fans will get a chance to see one of his best in the coming months. His 1995 noir thriller, Se7en, is set to hit IMAX in January. Fincher’s early collaboration with Brad Pitt features the actor as David Mills, a cop new to a crime-ridden city under a perpetually overcast sky. Paired up with a jaded veteran detective, William Somerset , the two have to stop the brutal killings of a serial killer inspired by the Seven Deadly Sins.

The background shows a dark silhouette of Somerset in his iconic hat, while the foreground is darkly lit and rain-spattered. This poster showcases the gritty feel of the film, enticing viewers to catch another classic in the theater.

Classic Films Are Having a Resurgence In IMAX Close New movies aren’t bringing film-goers into the theater in droves like they once were, but this push to put vintage films in IMAX is a large draw. 30 years after the fact, Fincher has made a name for himself, directing complex characters in thrillers and dramas alike. Viewers who didn’t have the chance to see Se7en the first go around are now blessed with this release.

&#x2715 Remove Ads Interstellar will return to IMAX after pleading from fans. The Matthew McConaughey-led sci-fi film is a feature suited for the medium. Nolan has always excelled at sound mixing and editing, something that Interstellar has in spades. Hans Zimmer’s score should be heard through blaring speakers, and Nolan’s visuals are nothing to scoff at. These large set pieces are exactly what fans look for in a good theater experience.
