David Beckham has been spotted in the queue for the Queen’s lying in state. 🔴 He starting queuing at 2am this morning “thinking it would be quiet” and has been buying people near to him in the queue donuts.
The former footballer added: “I was so lucky I was able to have a few moments in my life to be around Her MajestyHe then joked that “I get told off if I hold the line up”, as the presenter started to walk along the queue with him.
Beckham reflected that this his most special memory of meeting the Queen was being presented with his OBE. Well-wishers shared pictures of the former Manchester United and England star on social media, as they couldn’t believe he had joined the queue.Jane Dennis, who has been in the queue since 2:30am, toldshe had noticed people stopping to point all morning and had wondered what the commotion was. Then she finally spotted David Beckham amongst the crowd.
Jules Birkby also tweeted after spotting Beckham in the queue, revealing he was “just a few lines behind us in the snake”.We come to pay my respects to The Queen and just before we go in we get to meet the handsome Mr Beckham. I got the pic😍
