As the nation gets ready to applaud the NHS and health workers this evening, Thursday 9 April, at 8pm, to thank them for putting their lives on the line amid the coronavirus outbreak, a whole host of celebrities have put together a candid video to share their gratitude.
A-listers including Hugh Grant, Colin Firth, Billie Eilish, Dame Julie Walters and Olivia Colman also joined in with the thanks.The #ThankyouThursday includes the week brightening Clap For Our Carers, which invites everyone to join together on front doorsteps, gardens, out of windows, on balconies or in their living rooms for a countrywide applause.
In the celeb-studded video thanking healthworkers we see Oscar-winning actress Olivia Colman coining the NHS as “amazing.”View gallery She says: “All across the country people want you to know how incredible you are and how grateful we are.Sports stars getting involved in the thanks include Anthony Joshua, Harry Redknapp, former Chelsea and Arsenal footballer Cesc Fabregas, England cricket captain Joe Root, Harry Kane and more.
