🏒 A big shakeup in Flyers' leadership. Comcast Spectacor announced Monday morning that Dave Scott will be retiring as chairman of the company and governor of the Flyers.
."I've stayed pretty close to it. ... I think we all have a job to do here. My job is, really, to make sure we have the resources and we're investing in the team for the long term and go for the Cup. The Flyers are going to go for it every year. That's our heritage.
After the Flyers made sweeping changes in 2018-19, headlined by the firing of GM Ron Hextall, the club won a playoff series for the first time since 2012 once the 2019-20 campaign resumed with the bubbled postseason. Prior to the start of those summer playoffs, Scott said heBut after the Flyers came a win away from the Eastern Conference Final, they have stumbled ever since.
