The City Government of Davao officially launched Pasko Fiesta 2024 on Thursday evening, November 28, at Rizal Park. The theme was 'Stronger, Brighter, and Happier Together!' The festivities began with the lighting of a giant Christmas tree, lanterns, and dazzling decorations at San Pedro Square. This launch drew crowds of joyful Dabawenyos. The event marked the city's continued resilience and unity, as highlighted by Vice Mayor J. Melchor Quitain representing Mayor Sebastian 'Baste' Duterte.
The festival includes beloved traditions such as the Parada sa Pasko and Banda Dasig, along with a new addition, Mugna sa Pasko, a Christmas costume competition. The event is funded with a ₱50 million budget and features an enchanted woodland theme with reindeer and magical forest displays outside City Hall
