Police said they're searching for a woman who they believe fled after allegedly stabbing her mother to death Sunday night in West Philadelphia. That's where officers said they found the victim bleeding on the sidewalk in front of a neighbor's home.
"We do not have yet an identity on the daughter. We're still trying to find this person," said Philadelphia Police Inspector D.F. Pace.
"We understand that she fled the scene. We don't even know if it was in a car or on foot.
" Police are still in the early stages of the investigation and said they have not yet identified the victim, but believe she was in her 50s and lived on the block. "There's still a lot of questions to be answered with respect to this incident as to what transpired, what motivated the stabbing," Pace said. "We have not been able to locate a weapon at this time.
