The city is set to light up for Christmas
As Christmas approaches, it's time to look forward to seeing Liverpool lit up with sparkling Christmas lights as we get into the spirit of the season.
Taking place from 4pm, the event is set to entertain the whole family with a packed programme of activities, acts, glowing Christmas decorations, a never-before-seen neon Christmas tree and many other installations.The retail and leisure destination will transform into a magical winter wonderland as it gets visitors into the festive spirit. The brand-new tree will be situated at the centre of the ski holiday-inspired Liverpool Alpine Village on Chavasse Park.
On Monday, December 14, Liverpool city centre's Christmas lights will be switched on and the decorations unveiled. In addition, a Christmas countdown featuring Liverpool-based artists will begin on December 1. Lamp posts on Paradise Street, Whitechapel, Old Hall Street, Chapel Street, Tithebarn Street, Lord Street and Cook Street will be decorated with angels. Lighting will also illuminate Exchange Flags and The Strand.
