Not long to go now before Nottinghamshire gets a sprinkling of Christmas magic
There's nothing like the Christmas lights being turned on to get you in the mood for the festive season. And there's plenty of switch-on ceremonies across Nottinghamshire bringing festive cheer to towns up and down the county.
West Bridgford - November 18 The fun starts at 10am along Central Avenue and the Croquet Lawn and will last throughout the day until 5pm when the lights are turned on. Around 40 stalls will be selling festive food and drink, and arts and crafts. Festive face painting will be available and Santa will also be in his magical grotto, from 3pm-5pm, at the Stapleford and Bramcote Conservative Club. An accessible sensory session for the Grotto is also available for booking this year from 1.30pm to 3pm on a first come first served basis. To book click here.
Worksop - November 25 The annual Christmas market will open at noon with the lights turned on at 6pm, followed by a firework display. Entertainment includes fairground rides, street entertainers and an Elton John tribute act.
