The Dash were attempting to secure their second straight home victory and tie San Diego...

Soccer fans were excited to see San Diego superstar Alex Morgan in action Saturday night at Shell Energy Stadium.

“Goals change games, and it's not just goals that change games – it's the nature of the goal,” Dash coach Sam Laity said. “It was so soft. It's a ball that just needs to be cleared and we overplay against a player that's dynamic and that we know is going to run behind, that’s going to press. It's a situation that we gave them.”

Morgan scored the fastest goal of her career in the second minute off a Dash turnover. Natalie Jacobs attempted to play the ball back before Morgan tracked the loose ball and poked it past goalkeeper Jane Campbell, who was trying to clear the ball, from just outside the box. Houston had enough chances to equalize in the first half with six shots and four corners to Seattle’s three and zero, respectively, to go with 54 percent possession. The Dash’s Michelle Alozie and Joelle Anderson each had two shots apiece.“One of the things we talked about at halftime was getting more players into the box to be more dangerous and we didn't do that,” Laity said. “From that perspective, very disappointed. Because we got exactly what we deserved.
