A vehicle fell from a viaduct and onto a DART train track in north Oak Cliff early Monday, damaging overhead power lines and causing delays, authorities said.
The crash happened about 12:30 a.m. when the vehicle sped off the Houston Street Viaduct and onto the tracks below,The TV station reported two women who were in the vehicle fled. It was unknown whether they were injured in the crash. A DART spokesman said catenary lines — overhead electricity cables — were damaged, and NBC5 said it could take days to repair.
Delays to the Red and Blues lines were expected Monday. Shuttle buses were taking passengers from the Eddie Bernice Johnson Union Station and Victory Station to the 8th and Corinth Station, a spokesman said..
