Featuring full\u002Dlength and short horror movies, the Dark Bridges Film Festival runs June 2 to 4 at the Broadway Theatre.
The Saskatchewan movie The Killer Balloon was created by Dead Prairies Production in Swift Current.
Director Devon Oman and cast members will attend the Saturday screening, providing an introduction and a post-screening Q&A.American musician and filmmaker Richard Elfman and his wife, actor Anastasia Elfman, will host a Q&A for their latest movie, Bloody Bridget. A founding member of the band Oingo Boingo, Richard will introduce the movie with a musical performance featuring local musicians.
“I can’t wait for everyone to see The Elderly … It’s so well done. It feels huge. And it’s just gonna be an amazing way to close out the festival.”“This year, we’ve hit a bunch of different countries,” Allison said. “I’m kind of amazed at having two from Spain that are so good.”The festival features Drunken Cinema, an interactive movie drinking game played during a screening of Killer Klowns from Outer Space, one of the festival’s most requested titles.
“It’s a great, fun way to come experience a movie where instead of being told everyone needs to be quiet, it’s all everyone have fun,” he said. “If you want to, you can cheer and shout and have a blast.”
