Marvel's highly anticipated Daredevil: Born Again series gets its first taste of promotion with a bone-chilling trailer, promising a return to the grittier, more realistic tone of its Netflix predecessor. Although Daredevil : Born Again encountered some production hiccups that postponed its Disney Plus premiere, Marvel has finally unveiled the series' first trailer before its March debut. The last time we saw Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), he was embroiled in conflicts out in Oklahoma, but the Daredevil : Born Again trailer transports him back to New York City, where Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) is vying for the mayoral seat.
Fisk appears to be spearheading a robust campaign, persuading many that he possesses a blueprint for making the city a safer haven. However, Murdock doesn't require his enhanced senses to discern that something sinister lurks beneath the surface of Fisk's political aspirations.The trailer offers glimpses of Murdock's allies, Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll), Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson), and Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal), alongside the MCU's reinterpretations of Hector Ayala / White Tiger (Kamar de los Reyes) and Muse (the actor portraying Muse remains officially undisclosed), a supervillain first introduced in Charles Soule's 2016 Daredevil comic book series. The abundance of bone-shattering action and blood splattering in the trailer suggests that Marvel is, at the very least aesthetically, striving for the gritty realism that distinguished Netflix's Daredevil series from the rest of the MCU.
