Following the conclusion of season 1, Daredevil: Born Again season 2 will see a new Marvel Cinematic Universe look for Matt Murdock when he returns next year. The Daredevil: Born Again episode 9 ending has changed the landscape forever for the heroes and vigilantes in New York, thanks to Mayor Wilson Fisk's martial law against costumed crime-fighters.
Empire has a brand new look at Charlie Cox's next MCU costume as Daredevil. Born Again season 2 will finally see the Devil of Hell's Kitchen in the black suit with the famous DD logo on it. Check it out below: Executive producer Sana Amanat spoke about the freedom they are having with Daredevil: Born Again season 2, following the creative overhaul on season 1. Amanat stated, "The landscape was open, and that was so liberating. We were like, “We can do whatever we want.’" The Marvel Studios creative also added that with the new status quo for Matt, after he literally took a bullet for Kingpin. Amanat said, "What does it mean for Fisk when he’s gotten everything he wants? When you give a person whose thirst cannot be quenched his most valued treasure, is it enough? Or does he squeeze his treasure too hard?” When Daredevil: Born Again season 1 arrived on Disney+ earlier this year, viewers were treated to several glimpses of the many suits that Matt has donned throughout his superhero crusade, as multiple cowls were spotted in the premiere. However, he won't be the only NYC hero featured in the next season, as Krysten Ritter's Jessica Jones is returning. As filming concluded on season 2 back in July 2025, Disney+ and Marvel Studios are already hard at work on Daredevil: Born Again season 3, which will arrive in 2027. Production on the third season will start in 2026.Other upcoming MCU TV shows in Phase 6 will include Wonder Man, which premieres on January 27, 2027, with the upcoming VisionQuest series also arriving next year.
