The Ibrox attacker is looking to lead the Premiership side to the group stage with victory over PSV.
He grew up watching his Brazilian idols Neymar and Gabriel Jesus playing in the Champions League. Now Rangers ace Danilo wants to sample it for himself.
“For every young Brazilian kid, you watch the Champions League on the TV and want to play in it. When you hear the sound of that music, it’s goosebumps. It’s everything – you’re so emotional inside with the adrenaline. “They’ve always talked about it and how they wish I could play in it. So I hope at least one time I can play in the Champions League.
Talking of gifts, the last time Rangers were in Eindhoven, they got one of their own. Antonio Colak’s winner against PSV at this stage of the Champions League a year ago was enough to see them through – and it came courtesy of a defensive howler from the Dutch side. “It was a gift the defender gave to me and I hope they can give me that again. We’d like another gift but it’s a game where you never know what can happen.
