Daniel Padilla insists working with Kathryn Bernardo often also poses challenges

MANILA – It has been almost a decade since people started seeing Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo doing romantic-comedy or drama films together.

But while they are very comfortable working opposite each other, Padilla said there are also challenges that comes with working with Bernardo constantly through the years.

“Doon na papasok 'yung character nung pelikula mismo. Hindi naman kami 'yun eh. It’s a character. Mas challenging siya and yet mas satisfying din lalo na kapag positive 'yung outcome ng pelikula. At least parang na-overcome mo na naman 'yung pagsubok na 'yun. Hindi siya madali. Kailangan naming trabahuhin. Kailangan iba-ibahin,” he explained.“Yung mga director namin na dagdag mata, mas maigi. Mas maraming sumisita, mas maganda.

“Kailangan gawin mo rin 'yung mga pelikula na gusto mong gawin kasi doon babalik 'yung pagmamahal mo sa film. 'Yung pupunta ka sa isang set tapos nae-excite ka kasi 'yun 'yung mga pinapanood mong films tapos ngayon ikaw na 'yung aarte. Para rin sa 'yo yun. Self-growth bilang isang actor,” he added.
