New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones is itching to get back on the field after missing two games with a neck injury suffered in Week 5 against Miami.podcast that dropped on Tuesday, it didn't sound as though Jones had received the medical clearance to engage in contact just yet.Host Kay Adams asked Jones if he would be healthy enough to lead the Giants offense Sunday when they host the New York Jets in a rare regular-season battle of MetLife Stadium tenants.
Last week, Jones was able to practice after not being allowed to practice the week after suffering the injury. However, during last week's practice sessions, in which he was listed as limited, Jones did not take any team reps, those going to Tyrod Taylor, who led the Giants to a 14-7 win over the Washington Commanders on Sunday.
The team, however, didn't sign any of the veterans and instead elevated Tommy DeVito from the practice squad for last week's game, his second such activation out of three allowed.
