MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Giants left tackle Josh Ezeudu was in tears at his locker after Sunday’s 31-16 loss to the explosive Miami Dolphins. But Daniel Jones’ neck injury, postgame X-rays and scheduled Monday scan aren’t Ezeudu’s fault.
“Yeah, I mean, it’s tough to say for sure. I’ve certainly dealt with a similar issue,” a monotone Jones said. “So I’ll meet with the doctors and trainers and go from there … I think they’re all different, so I don’t know exactly what it is yet. I’ll know more tomorrow.” “It’s all on me,” Daboll said, referring to all of the Giants’ failures as they stare down a likely 1-5 record with next Sunday’s prime-time visit to the Buffalo Bills on deck.
“As an offense we have to do more to help you guys out,” he told them. “They had three turnovers and we’ve gotta convert. To have 24 points in nine halves is unacceptable.” “What we’re not gonna do is keep blaming the defense,” safety Xavier McKinney told reporters when asked about the Dolphins’ many explosive plays. “We lost as a team and it is what it is.”
