We chat with TheWheelOfTime stars Daniel Henney & Madeleine Madden about what season of the PrimeVideo has in store for Lan Mandragoran and Egwene al’Vere, as well as whether they prefer a Trolloc bath or Fade teeth cleaning:
Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT The Wheel of Time season 2 arrives on September 1, two years after the adaptation of Robert Jordan’s 14-book fantasy epic of the same name debuted on Prime Video in 2021. Showrunner Rafe Judkins and the rest of the cast and crew continue to bring the best parts of Jordan’s world to life in season 2.
Daniel Henney: I like that. “Lan really goes through it.” That's a good summary. I get more nervous--but at the same time, I'm more confident, which is strange--when I'm by myself. I feel like the onus is on me to land the scene [and] to make it work. When I have other actors involved, I feel pressure to make sure that they feel good about what we've done.
Madeleine Madden: I think Egwene is up against one of the most evil forces of the entire series, without going into too many spoilers. I think some of the antagonists that come into our season really make the stakes a lot higher. It also complicates things. It complicates relationships. You see that the water is muddied because of the people that come into the fold.
Another one is: Madeleine, this series is so full of beautiful sets and exterior locations. What has been your favorite set, or what set has made it the easiest for you to really get into the world and into your character?
