A new image from Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery sees Daniel Craig's Benoit Blanc getting serious in a unique location. Released in 2019, Rian Johnson's Knives Out was a surprise hit, introducing Craig's charming Southern detective as he sets about solving the murder of the patriarch of a wealthy but dysfunctional family.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Save for Craig's Blanc, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery features a brand-new cast and moves the action from the U.S. to Greece. In addition to Craig, the Knives Out sequel stars Ethan Hawke, Jessica Henwick, Edward Norton, Kathryn Hahn, Dave Bautista, Kate Hudson, Madelyn Cline, Janelle Monáe, and Leslie Odom Jr.
Ditching his thick tweed suit for something decidedly more colorful and lightweight this time around, Craig's Knives Out detective still maintains that somewhat old-fashioned sensibility when it comes to fashion. The first Knives Out featured a number of fake-outs and misdirections, as different members of the family became Blanc's prime suspects in the murder of Harlan Thrombey .
Blanc is a very different character from Bond, with the first Knives Out seeing Craig slow down and chew scenery in a much less physically-demanding role. It's still unclear exactly what Blanc will be faced with in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, but the new image suggests the character will be just as thoughtful and precise as he was in the previous installment.
