Humidity climbs Thursday and Friday
– Today is all about the heat as temperatures continue to climb this week - “feels like” like temperatures expected to be 111 by Friday.Although the NWS hasn’t issued a heat alert, stay mindful to prevent heat-related illness. Aim to drink ½ of your body weight in fluid ounces of hydrating fluid daily.Foods with a high water content are great to eat during these hot summer days to help keep you hydrated.
Another tropical wave is developing in the Atlantic. It has a 10% chance of developing over the next 7 days. Wind shear and lots of land in its path will severely limit intensification. Our hot high pressure area steers this tropical wave to Mexico.Extremely hot temperatures are with us through Friday. Our average for this time of year is 96°. We are well above this through Friday. Next week the high weakens a little lowering temperatures and giving us a small chance of rain next week.
