Monday night into Tuesday morning will be dangerously cold. Lows will range from the mid to upper teens inland while at the coast we'll mainly see mid 20s. It won't be as windy compared to Sunday night and Monday morning, however, winds will still be out of the north around 10 mph.
That will result in dangerous wind chills once again with values that could go as low as 15! Another Extreme Cold Warning will be in effect from 12AM-10AM Tuesday. Make sure you remember the 5 P's of cold weather safety. Be sure to protect people, pets, plants, pipes, and practice fire safety! After Tuesday's frigid start, we'll be looking at another chilly day, but it won't be as cold compared to Monday afternoon. Highs will climb to the mid and upper 40s under mostly sunny skies. Lows then head back into the 20s Tuesday night, however, it will be more-so mid to upper 20s. Highs then return to the 50s for our midweek with more sunshine. By Thursday highs will top out in the mid 50s with a chance some could see upper 50s. While that is milder, it's still about 5-10 below average. The warm-up will be short-lived though as another surge of cold air is poised to move in this weekend. On Friday we'll see highs in the upper 40s and low 50s after starting the day in the 30s. At this point, there will be a chance of passing rain showers as our weathermaker moves in, then Saturday just looks cold. Lows will be back in the 10s and 20s Saturday morning, but a strong northerly wind is expected which could result in wind chill values getting close to 0 in some spots. Saturday afternoon will only manage to warm to the mid and upper 30s before it's mainly teens north of the coast Saturday night into Sunday morning. Sunday will be chilly with 40s for highs. It looks like temperatures will then gradually return to seasonal norms through the first half of the workweek.
