Moreno will be fighting another top contender, making their return to the Octagon in Amir Albazi.
Moreno was scheduled to fight Albazi in February, but a serious neck injury kept the latter out, and Royval took on the assignment instead. If Moreno wins, he may have a tougher path back to a title shot. In some ways, he is in a position similar to the one Max Holloway was in at featherweight before Ilia Topuria dethroned Alexander Volkanovski.
