ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky couldn't hide his disgust about the Packers' offensive struggles after their ugly loss to the Eagles.
On Monday, the Green Bay Packers had the opportunity to prove that they’re legitimate Super Bowl contenders when they played the defending world champion Philadelphia Eagles at Lambeau Field. The Eagles came into that game with a 6-2 record, while Green Bay was 5-2-1 and coming off a 16-13 loss to the Carolina Panthers in Week 9.
As ugly as Green Bay’s offense was versus Carolina, it was even harder to watch against Philly. Monday’s game wasn’t exactly a thing of beauty, as both teams converted on fewer than half of their third downs. In fact, the first half was scoreless, something that is almost never seen in the modern NFL. The Packers ended up losing, 10-7, despite having a shot to tie or take the lead late in the fourth quarter. Brandon McManus could’ve forced overtime with a 64-yard field goal just before time expired, but his kick was ugly and didn’t even come close to going through the uprights. Indefensible.— Dan Orlovsky November 11, 2025 In all three of the Packers’ losses this season, they have failed to reach the 20-point mark, which led ESPN analyst and former NFL quarterback Dan Orlovsky to call their offense “indefensible.” GREEN BAY, WISCONSIN – NOVEMBER 10: Jordan Love #10 of the Green Bay Packers shares a moment with head coach Matt LaFleur of the Green Bay Packers prior to an NFL football game against the Philadelphia Eagles at Lambeau Field on November 10, 2025 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. In Monday’s game, Packers quarterback Jordan Love completed 20 of 36 pass attempts and didn’t throw a single touchdown pass. In two final drives in the last 2:18 of the game, he had the opportunity to be the hero, but he completed just three of nine pass attempts during that time. Overall, the Packers’ defense, especially their run defense, has been among the NFL’s best. But they rank 15th in points, and it hasn’t only been their air attack that has been lacking, as they’re 20th in rushing yards and 26th in yards per rushing attempt. There were already some questions when the season started about whether they had enough offensive firepower to win the NFC. But those concerns have become magnified ever since tight end Tucker Kraft, who was having a marvelous season, tore his ACL against the Panthers. Kraft leads them in receiving yards and receiving touchdowns, and wide receiver Romeo Doubs is second in both categories with 446 yards and four touchdowns through nine games.
