You all had the final table read in January. How did it feel for you after you finished the final scene?
Oh man — reminiscing, dancing. Everyone’s families were there. It’s really beautiful to see my mother and John Singleton’s mother standing and dancing. They’re actually the same height. I was really just taking it in and giving out love. Then after we all went to ashowrunner Dave Andron toldthat Season Six would have a consistently darker tone than previous seasons.
Andron said that he felt like the story had to ultimately be a tragedy. Do you feel that way? Do you feel like the only pathway for this series was in tragedy? Do you feel like if Aunt Louie was a man and had the same ambition, Franklin would have accepted her a little bit better than he did?
