Dami Im has new music and a new record deal
, the chart-topping Australian singer and songwriter who came within a whisker of winning the Eurovision Song Contest, has a new record deal.
South Korea-born, Queensland-raised Im has signed with ABC Music ahead of a new album release, scheduled for 2021. But first, Im and ABC Music will release the single and music video for “Paper Dragon” on Sept. 18, with four national tour dates announcedAt ABC Music, Im joins a roster that includes Tim Rogers, Mojo Juju, Chris Lilley, Lee Kernaghan, Sara Storer, The Wiggles and more.
The new single “marks the beginning of the most exciting and authentic chapter in my career and it deserves the best partner to take it out into the world,” Im says in a statement. “I’m feeling the most creative and free right now and I’m thrilled to be working with the team at ABC Music who truly support my vision as an artist.”Her self-titled debut album and first single “Alive” both debuted at No. 1 on the national ARIA charts, and she went on to release three warmly-received studio albums.
