Those showers are expected to continue, with about a 50% chance of rain Monday and Tuesday and a 30% chance on Wednesday.Scattered showers and storms continue through the first half of the week, with locally heavy rainfall and possibly some minor flooding west of I-35. Rain amounts will taper off to the east.

The showers are bringing cooler temperatures to the area, with highs in the 80s through Wednesday. The temperature is expected to rise again after the rain ends, with the weather service forecastinga high of 91 degrees on Friday.Highs will stay in that neighborhood through the weekend, but humidity levels will decrease Saturday and Sunday, according to the weather service.Partly cloudy to mostly cloudy and muggy with a chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms.
