In North Texas, wind chills are forecast to range from 0 to 9 degrees.

Service’s Fort Worth office has issued a cold weather advisory for North and Central Texas, in effect at 12 a.m. Saturday and lasts until 11 a.m. that morning. Much of the southeast United States is also under the advisory, including parts of Tennessee, Alabama, Arkansas and Oklahoma.

In North Texas, wind chills are forecast to range from 0 to 9 degrees. The weather service recommends bringing pets indoors and limiting time in the cold.The advisory comes less than a week after an extreme cold warning was in effect for the region, with DFW International Airport recording 58 hours below freezing. The winter storm broughtTemperatures should struggle to reach 32 degrees Saturday, but extreme cold isn’t expected to last.
