Hot and humid weather is expected Monday and Tuesday before strong storms likely to return to Dallas-Fort Worth on Wednesday and Thursday.

The storms, likely to form in North Texas by Wednesday or Thursday, will bring a cold front with it, according to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth.The storms are still a couple days out, leaving uncertainties regarding exact locations facing chances of large hail, damaging winds and heavy rain.Highs are expected to dip into the 80s Wednesday and Thursday but increase back into the 90s again by Friday, according to the weather service.
The temperatures this weekend will probably be unseasonably hot because of the humidity, pushing the heat index into the upper 90s or as hot as 105 in some areas of North Texas.“Make sure to practice heat safety by drinking plenty of water, taking breaks indoors, and wearing light clothing,” an advisory from the weather service read.
