William Moore , on behalf of his late longtime partner, Donald Zarda, accepts a U.S. Department of Labor Hall of Honor award from Labor Secretary Julie Su for securing protections against discrimination for LGBTQ+ workers.“You have made America more just, you have made America more equitable and you have made America more free,” Su said to Bostock and friends and family of Stephens and Zarda, both of whom died before their cases reached the highest court.

“The Supreme Court’s decision and the ceremony today hopes to restore those wings,” Karlan said. “Don fought for the right to pursue his life’s work, traveling towards the sun in the highest fields.”
