Lee Merritt, a Dallas-based lawyer and civil rights activist, said in a tweet on Sunday that Floyd’s family is “considering suit for Kanye’s false statements about the manner of his death.” While a medical examiner concluded Floyd’s drug use was a factor in his death, he testified the compression of Floyd’s neck by police was the main cause.
