The sprinter who won the 100-meter world championship got her start at Dallas ISD’s Carter High School.
Thursday night, the district's Board of Trustees voted to name the track field at John Kincade Stadium after the track and field star athlete.
The dedication is meant to serve as a tribute to Richardson's achievements in sports and her ties to Dallas.at the World Championships in Budapest, officially making her the fastest woman in the world. even though she came in as the American champion and bested Jackson the previous two times they met this year.
