Dallas County District Attorney John Creuzot expressed support for two proposals to change the state’s bail policy in a letter penned to the legislation’s author.“Our bail system must continue to differentiate between offenders who pose a real, immediate threat to our communities and those who do not,” Creuzot wrote in the letter provided toHe continued, “I support those efforts to empower our judiciary to protect the safety of their communities while using evidence-based approaches that respect the presumption of innocence.
