“I have not seen an official response from the city yet, but we stand ready to cooperate as needed,” said Karissa Condoianis, State Fair of Texas spokeswoman.“The fair’s first priority and the city’s first priority is to keep the residents safe, and the fair made a decision that gets them closer to that goal,” the councilman said. “To me, it’s not for the city to step in, just as much as it’s not for the state to step in. The State Fair of Texas is perfectly capable of making these decisions.
