A DAD drowned after getting into difficulty in the sea while swimming with his young son in the 33 degree heatwave.
The man's body was recovered from the water this afternoon at Porthcurno beach, Cornwall and he was pronounced dead on the scene.Emergency services treated the foreign national for cardiac arrestCornwall Air Ambulance, the Coastguard Search and Rescue helicopter, police, the ambulance service and the RNLI lifeboat all rushed to help.The beach was closed off during the search and the man's son is understood to physically be okay.
Devon and Cornwall Police had to use a language line to inform the family of the foreign national's death as they do not speak English. A force incident manager said: “His family is now aware.
