Dad claims daughter was thrown off bus as 'passport isn't proof of age'
A FURIOUS dad claims his 15-year-old daughter was "abandoned" at the side of the road by a bus driver who refused to let her pay the child's fare — and rejected her passport as proof of her age.
The bus company, First Manchester, was said to have repeatedly not allowed Lili to pay the child's fare on its services, even after showing her school bus pass.Mr Donovan claims Lili has also been told her passport isn't valid proof of her age, and that the only ID the company will accept is the local 11-16-year-olds "igo" travel pass, which costs £10.: "The idea that all children aged 11-16 must carry an igo is ridiculous, because it does not prove your identity.
They have since offered to pay the difference back on all the occasions where Lili had to pay the adult fare.
