The actor said he found similarities between himself and Paul that he could justify into understanding Paul’s political stance. “I can absolutely relate to the betrayal and loss. I can absolutely relate to feeling outside of it. When one feels outside of it, it’s not a huge leap to extrapolate that feeling of being an outsider to being disenfranchised, said Lindo. “They were the places psychologically and emotionally I arrived at that I could then use to justify the political decision that Paul had made. It was an adjustment. I initially didn’t want to do it.
“Da 5 Blood” follows the story of four African American veterans who return to Vietnam decades after the war to recover the remains of their dear comrade Stormin’ Norman and the millions in gold bars that they buried.
