The D.C. Attorney General's office upped the ante with a lawsuit against the Washington Commanders, owner Daniel Snyder, the NFL and the league's commissioner, Roger Goodell in the ongoing workplace misconduct investigation.
WASHINGTON — D.C. Attorney General Karl A. Racine announced Thursday that his office is filing a consumer protection lawsuit against the Washington Commanders, owner Daniel Snyder, the NFL and the league's commissioner, Roger Goodell.
He said Snyder, who has owned the team since 1999, was not only"aware of the toxic culture within his organization" but also encouraged it and participated in it. "For far too long, the NFL has actively concealed wrongdoing by the Washington Commanders and has shielded Mr. Snyder from accountability at every turn," they said in a statement. "The NFL must understand that sexual harassment and abuse cannot be tolerated or concealed.
