D.C.-area forecast: Scattered showers and storms stick around today

We don’t get a clean break from rain chances until after a cold front comes through on Wednesday.

Lows: Upper 60s.A pesky front and developing area of low pressure keep the rain chances going today and tonight. Some storms could produce periods of heavier rain and isolated flooding.

After some patchy early-morning fog, we’re mostly cloudy this morning with some glimpses of sun possible during the afternoon. On-and-off showers and thunderstorms don’t have as much potential for severe winds and hail as yesterday, but some could produce heavy rain and lightning. Temperatures are somewhat cooler with highs in the low to mid-80s and still rather humid.
