At the 64th annual Grammy Awards Sunday, Cynthia Erivo was nominated for her performance of “Stand Up,” from the 2019 film “Harriet.” But it won’t be long before she’s flying, when she begins filming Jon M. Chu’s film adaptation of the hit musical “Wicked,” in which she’ll star as the green witch Elphaba. “We’re sort of at the beginning, we’re all having conversations about what we want, what we want to do, like the style of it,” Erivo said. “I spoke to Paul Tazewell, who’s our costume designer and just recently Oscar-nominated, and Jon [Chu] who is our director, who’s incredible, and we’re all sort of talking about how we want it to feel.”
