Summary X-Men heroes Cyclops, Wolverine and Colossus get a new, matching look in creative fanart that takes a unique approach to the Marvel heroes. The X-Men have long had some of the most colorful and variable costumes in Marvel lore, with Xavier dressing his students in order to establish a link between homo superior and superheroism in the public imagination. At other times, the X-Men have been forced to go more low-key, able to blend into a world that hates and fears them.
Following fan reaction to the initial art, thewarblazer also posted a solo design sheet for Cyclops, as well as adding the steel-skinned Colossus to the original art Colossus gets an even more ambitious red and black costume, with cutouts referencing his classic costume in X-Men comics. Each character's costume is detailed with the hero team's iconic 'X' logo.

This vision of monochrome X-Men with plenty of black brings to mind Alex Ross' designs for the team, with Cyclops, Jean Grey, Nightcrawler, Wolverine and more getting incredibly stylish costumes. Sadly - while these looks were included in Marvel's Millennial Visions: X-Men - they only appeared as illustrations alongside a text story, and they've yet to appear in a traditional comic story despite being popular among fans.
