Cyberpunk 2077's V with a shot of Night City and a map covered in Scanner Locations behind them.
In a surprise announcement, CD Projekt RED has revealed that Cyberpunk 2077 will be heading to the PlayStation 5 Pro and better yet? It will arrive as a free update. Although more details will be arriving later this week, it is exciting news to see how the hit RPG will look on the enhanced version of the PlayStation 5, especially as Night City is already one of the most iconic settings in video game history.
Cyberpunk 2077 Arrives to Next-Gen Soon With the PlayStation 5 Pro version of Cyberpunk 2077 coming in the"not-so-distant-future", we can expect it to launch in the next few months. However, CD Projekt RED has made it clear that this version will not come alongside any new content, but will instead"focus on allowing it to take advantage of the expanded hardware capabilities offered by the PS5 Pro system." There is no denying that this launch will bring a brand-new wave of fans to the hit RPG, and even encourage previous players to explore a bigger-and-better version. Set in the dystopian metropolis of Night City, Cyberpunk 2077 follows mercenary V as they embark on a journey to find a way to rid themselves of a chip embedded in their brain which just so happens to have a time-limit attached to it, not to mention the concept of Johnny Silverhand, played by Keanu Reeves. Set in a vast open-world, players will take part in a main story unlike any other, as well as various side quests and points of interest. Cyberpunk 2077 is also full to the brim with weird and wonderful NPCs, all of whose lives will intertwine with yours as you go head-to-head with the powerful beings of the city. Night City Has Had the Biggest Makeover Launched back in December 2020, Cyberpunk 2077 has had one of the biggest turnarounds in gaming history. Arriving with a multitude of bugs and glitches, Cyberpunk 2077 was even removed from online storefronts with millions of players reporting that it was simply unplayable. However, now five years on and following multiple updates and patches as well as its Phantom Liberty DLC, Cyberpunk 2077 is now regarded one of the best RPGs of all time, and there is no denying that this free PlayStation 5 Pro update will boost its popularity even more. As one Twitter user shared,"Keep pumping out performance updates. It might be time to revisit Night City sooner than later." For now, keep an eye out for that highly anticipated date for the launch of Cyberpunk 2077 on the PlayStation 5 Pro. 8/10 Cyberpunk 2077 Like Follow Followed RPG Action Systems OpenCritic Reviews Top Critic Avg: 76/100 Critics Rec: 66% Released December 10, 2020 ESRB M for Mature: Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, Nudity, Strong Language, Strong Sexual Content, Use of Drugs and Alcohol Developer CD Projekt Red Publisher CD Projekt Red Engine REDengine 4 6 Images Close
